At Adapt Nutrition, our mission was always to create a bar extremely low in TOTAL carbs WITHOUT using fillers, preservatives or “bulking” agents. We achieved this by using ingredients of superior quality with an end result of each bar being a WHOLESOME 20 grams in size. The Adapt Bar is lighter than the typical 60 grams protein bar as it is a NUTRITIONALLY DENSE meal containing a very low 2 grams of TOTAL carbs.
Fact: The addition of bulking agents, fibre, fillers and preservatives to an Adapt Bar would certainly make it heavier and bulkier but it would also add additional UNWANTED carbs, which is not desirable, and true to the Adapt Program.
Our products are made with REAL ingredients and HEALTHY fats. They are classified as “Foods” and not “Supplements”. As is the case with most foods, this means the bars are sensitive to heat.
The Adapt Bars will melt, much the same as coconut oil and butter, if exposed to sunlight and or warm temperatures. Should your Adapt Bar melt, simply place it in a cool place or in the fridge, out of direct sunlight and it will adapt back into a solid form. (out of it’s original shape, but completely safe to consume and enjoy)
Fact: By using unhealthy chemicals such as “preservatives”, we could have remedied the “heat sensitivity” issue, however we chose the WHOLESOME approach in order to offer you a healthier option.
