Prostatitis is an inflammation of the prostate gland, often resulting in swelling or pain. Prostatitis can result in four significant symptoms: pain, urination problems, sexual dysfunction, and general health problems, such as feeling tired and depressed. Many urologic disease experts feel that from 5 to 10 percent of males will be experiencing prostatitis at a particular time in the U.S.

The most common type of prostatitis is nonbacterial prostatitis. Symptoms may include
frequent urination and pain in the lower abdomen or lower back area. Causes may be stress
and irregular sexual activity.

Treatments for nonbacterial prostatitis may include anti-inflammatory medications or muscle
relaxants, taking hot baths, drinking extra fluids, learning to relax when urinating, and
ejaculating frequently. Some physicians also may recommend some changes in a patient’s diet.
Animal studies on cannabidiol have revealed a spectrum of immune effects on T lymphocytes
and macrophages that mediate inflammation in many tissues.

Not only does CBD affect the reactivity of lymphocytes it has been shown to inhibit the release of all inflammatory signaling cytokines, including IL 17, while promoting the anti-inflammatory interleukin 10. The potential is a broad-spectrum anti-inflammatory holiday that would allow lifestyle improvements to restore health and balance in CP.

In addition, most of the associated symptoms with NP are responsive to CBD known effects
including pain, bladder irritability, sexual dysfunction, neuropathy, anxiety, depression and more.
Suggested dosing in 15 mg twice daily and adjust dose to symptom control.
